BHS wins safety award
During Heli-Expo, the worlds largest international helicopter fair, held in February 2005, in the United States, one of the most important and outstanding moments occurred in all of BHSs history: The position of 1st company in Brazil to win the Platinum Safety Award, safety certification granted by the HAI (Helicopter Association International) Set up in October 2002, the Platinum Programs Safety Committee assesses Flight Safety practices and procedures. The HAI grants the Platinum Safety Award to members that prove they meet the established standards management, operations, systems and the Flight Safety Program -, showing a commitment to the highest safety standards by using the best practices. HAI members are inspected each year through internal and external audits. So far, only 33 helicopter operators have received this award worldwide. The award was received by Mr. ARB, Chairman of the BHS Board. The Companys Executive President, Mr. LFP and Sales Director, Mr. DRG, also took part in the event. Besides being a reason for pride at the recognition of BHSs efforts to increasingly improve quality in its operations, this certification shows its commitment to implementing and maintaining the best Flight Safety practices. In the words of a column published in the newsletter HAI Convention News, distributed during Heli-Expo, the association emphasizes the companys importance: BHS, after being inspected by GE International and by Wyvern Consulting, was recommended to form the select group of companies that abide by standards of excellence in safety established by Helicopter Association International.
