Flight Safety
Flight Safety’s main purpose is to prevent aeronautic accidents. A series of actions and procedures are established in the company’s yearly Aeronautic Accident Prevention Program – PPAA, prepared by its in-house Flight Safety Agent (AVS).

The PPAA is enforced in all BHS sectors, as well as in outsourced services, and has several sub-programs which are developed throughout the year.

Flight Safety manages all safety reports regarding the flights, gathers and analyzes facts, comments and opinions from all the involved sectors based on which issues the pertinent recommendations. The conclusions reached trough this process are informed to all employees, aeronautic authorities, other operators, etc. All are inserted in the CHS Safety and Quality Integrated System, from which they can be accessed by all CHC Group world bases.

Flight Safety is also responsible for the enforcement of the safety recommendations, checking their application, evaluating their effectiveness, identifying the need for corrections and/or modifications, always pursuing the highest level of safety on BHS air operations.

Another of its functions is to attend Flight Safety meetings held together with INFRAERO, Aeronautic Authorities (SERIPA 3, CENIPA, DECEA), Petrobrás and other operators, in which all relevant matters pertaining the air operations in the Bacia de Campos are discussed and analyzed, contributing with recommendations and suggestions to improve the overall safety of the operations.
